At 2,000 m, Ciottulu di i Mori is the highest refuge on the GR20, set at the foot of Paglia Orba and near the source of the Golo. Meals are served at any hour — rare on the trail.

Bedding: dorm bunk, PNRC tent or bivouac (subject to availability).
Booking is compulsory on the Park's official system, by date and place. Refuges are staffed from 16 May to 4 October 2026.
A sleeping bag is required (no blankets provided); meals are ordered from the warden, not online.

The refuge on the ground
Its commanding position is a balcony over the Corsican high mountains. Many use it as a base to climb Paglia Orba, off the GR20; on the route, it comes before the long drop to the Col de Vergio.
